Oleg Abramov is a musician, teacher, public figure, founder and head of cultural and educational projects as well laureate of international competitions.
As member of the Board of the Rotary Club “Moscow-East”, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Rotary Children’s Music Competition.
He is the author of several scholarly articles popular in professional circles and is the first performer in Russia of a whole series of works of both symphonic, chamber and solo repertoire.
Frequently he performs on trombone and euphonium solo programmes with orchestra, piano and organ.
He is regularly invited as a jury member of wind instrument competitions at regional, national and international competitions and toured in Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Thailand, France, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, China, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
Awarded: For high professionalism, personal contribution to the development of culture and art he has received letters of thanks and certificates of merit from the Ministries of Culture of the Saratov and Kaliningrad regions, Republics: Dagestan, Udmurtia, Culture Committee of Saratov, letters of thanks of the Moscow Conservatory and Goethe Institute for successful implementation of creative projects. In 2014, he was awarded the medal “For Contribution to the Preservation of Folk Traditions”. The award is given to professionals who have made a notable contribution to the preservation and popularisation of culture and folk traditions, and have many years of experience in cultural and educational and social work.
