Kanrit Sawatdisuk

Head Euphonium teacher at Kasetsart University

Kanrit holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Western Music (Euphonium Performance) and a Master of Arts in Music (Wind Studies) from Kasetsart University. Under the mentorship of Asst. Prof. Surapol Thanyawibool, Kanrit refined his euphonium technique and musicianship while becoming a core member of the Kasetsart University Wind Symphony, directed by Asst. Prof. Surapol Thanyawibool and Dr. Nipatdh Kanchanahuta.

Kanrit has graced numerous international festivals and conferences, including the Tuba Mania International Festival (2013), Brass Festival and Percussion (2014), The Thailand International Composition Festival (2018), Thailand International Low Brass Conference (2019) and Thailand International Brass and Percussion Conference (2024). His participation in multiple editions of the Thailand International Tuba Euphonium Conference (TITEC 2023, 2025) highlights his dedication to fostering collaboration within the global brass community. He has performed with ensembles such as the Low Fat Tuba Ensemble and the Thailand Tuba Euphonium Ensemble, further solidifying his role as a driving force in the world of euphonium music.

Beyond performance, Kanrit is a passionate educator, sharing his expertise with students across Thailand and beyond. He has held teaching roles at Kasetsart University, Burapha University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, and the Royal Thai Air Force Music School, shaping the next generation of musicians. His involvement with youth ensembles such as Thai Youth Winds and Songkhla Youth Winds reflects his commitment to mentoring young artists and nurturing Thailand’s brass music scene.

Kanrit’s leadership extends to his role as the founder and conductor of The Green Brass Band, an ensemble dedicated to artistic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration. Through this platform, he has led performances with world-class euphonium players, including Bastien Baumet, Glenn Van Looy, Adam Frey, Mark Glover and Tim De Maeseneer (Alto Horn), demonstrating his ability to bridge musical traditions and inspire audiences in Thailand.

Constantly striving for artistic growth, Kanrit has participated in masterclasses with euphonium greats such as Steven Mead, Misa Mead, David Childs, Bastien Baumet and Matthew van Emmerik. These experiences have enriched his technical prowess and interpretative depth, ensuring that his musicianship remains at the forefront of the brass world.

Kanrit Sawatdisuk proudly performs on the Besson BE2052 Euphonium, an instrument he trusts to bring his artistic vision to life. With its rich tone and expressive capabilities, it complements his dedication to excellence in both performance and education.
