Jovita Kasperaviciute
Born in 2006 in Vilnius, Lithuania, Jovita Kasperavičiūtė began her musical journey at the age of eight at Karoliniškės Music School, where she studied under renowned Lithuanian euphonium player and teacher Jurgis Dapšauskas.
Jovita initially started on the baritone before beginning to play the euphonium in 2018, which quickly became her primary instrument.
In 2021, she continued her studies at the prestigious National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts under the guidance of Danielius Patrikas Kišūnas, principal tuba player of the Lithuanian National Symphonic Wind Orchestra.
Since 2025, Jovita has been studying euphonium performance at the Luca School of Arts in Belgium with Tim De Maeseneer. Alongside her studies, she has built an active international performing career as a soloist and brass band musician.
Despite her young age, Jovita has already established herself internationally through performances across Europe, appearing as a soloist in Lithuania, Estonia, France, Spain, Norway, Austria, and beyond. She has performed with symphony orchestras, wind orchestras, and brass bands, with appearances including the National Philharmonic Hall in Vilnius, Kaunas State Philharmonic, and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris.
In 2024, one of her solo performances with symphony orchestra was broadcast live on Lithuanian National Radio and Television. In 2026, she was invited as a guest artist to the Numskull Brass Festival in Caudete, Spain, where she gave solo performances and worked with young euphonium players through masterclasses.
Jovita is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. Among her recent achievements are 2nd Prize at the European Soloist Competition in Linz, Austria, 1st Prize at the Hauts-de-France Brass Band Concours Jeunes Solistes in Lille, France, and the Best Soloist Award at the 2025 European Brass Band Championships in Stavanger, Norway.
Alongside her solo career, Jovita is deeply involved in the brass band world, performing with leading Lithuanian brass bands such as Brass LT and Aukštyn. Through these ensembles, she has participated in major international competitions including the European Brass Band Championships and the World Music Contest, collaborating with internationally renowned conductors and musicians from across Europe. In 2024, Jovita became a junior artist for AR Resonance mouthpieces. Alongside her performing career, she is also known through her Instagram platform “jovitakasper_euph”, where she shares her musical journey and performances with an international audience.
